Yogurt Prevent Child Dental Damage

Yogurt is fermented milk or soy products are not only good for the digestive system, but also for dental health. Consumption of yogurt regularly can cut the risk of tooth decay in children.
Consuming yogurt at least four times a week can reduce the 22 percent risk of experiencing tooth decay in children at age 3 years, compared with children who only yogurt consumption less than once a week.
The findings have been published in the Journal of Dentistry, the study came from Japan who is investigating claims that state dairy products generally avert tooth decay in children.
Meanwhile, other dairy products like butter, cheese and milk does not seem to have great benefits on your teeth. Consumption of yogurt can actually provide greater protection to children teeth.
Not known exactly why yogurt can provide protection for the child’s teeth. But one theory states that the yogurt contains proteins ‘binding’ on the surface of the tooth and sealing the tooth against acid attack dangerous.
The seal is meant as calcium and phosphate, which makes tooth enamel is not damaged from time to time.
Research conducted by experts at Fukuoka University and the University of Tokyo, support previous findings by scientists in Australia.
In a recent study, Japanese researchers studied 2000 children aged three years and parents were asked about dietary habits. Each child also conduct dental examinations to assess the condition of his teeth.
