Teeth Tips

The Dental Health Foundation reports that when dental problems like cavities, left untreated can eventually lead to difficulty speaking, chewing and, ultimately, prevent the student from attending classes. Here are some simple steps to avoid tooth decay, also included in the campaign Takes Milk Processor Board initiative of the California Milk and Got Milk.
1. It must first tooth brush with a soft brush. Experts recommend going to the dentist the first anniversary, and get regular checkups every six months or as often as recommended by the dentist.
2. Children should brush their teeth at least twice a day, two and a half minutes to three minutes, with a toothpaste that has fluoride to fight cavities.
3. Attention should be paid to the gums are not swollen, red or tender, as these may be signs that oral health is deteriorating and it is necessary to visit the dentist.
4. Replace soft drinks and juices full of sugar and milk with meals. Milk not only vitamins and nutrients but strengthens teeth and prevents cavities.
5. Limit your intake of sweets that could contribute to the development of caries, and avoids the consumption of hard candy, which could cause the teeth to break.
“It’s never too late to begin practicing these simple tips to make your children have such perfect smiles,” said Uranga McKane, Director of the Dental Health Foundation.
