Milk is the most important food for your baby, but when you fall asleep with a sucker in his mouth, the milk builds up and stays in the upper front teeth. The natural sugar in cow’s milk and quickly becomes acidic and starts the destruction of the teeth. Because this type of decay occurs only in the back of the upper front teeth, is not easily seen.

Pacha if feeding is used not only to feed the baby but to keep quiet or console, the only liquid that should be used is water. Any drink sweetened, carbonated water, fruit juices, milk for babies and “sugar water” can destroy the teeth.
Priate your baby begins to drink liquids from a cup and eating solid foods, you must be careful in selecting foods that provide a sensible diet and proper nutrition. Feeding habits run today, severely affect dental and general health for the rest of their lives.

Follow your dentist’s advice about the measures taken to prevent dental disease: proper diet and oral hygiene, use of fluoride and regular dental visits to stop problems at an early stage.

Dental caries is a disease much more expansive than it should, it affects children and adults and causes more embarrassing is the action of sugars. Good hygiene after each meal and food intake are low in sugars are the best allies to prevent this inconvenience, which may lead to the loss of a tooth.

Tooth decay causes the loss or disintegration of the flesh or bone of the teeth, as a result of the action of acid producing bacteria to break down sugars in the diet. We must also bear in mind that foods rich in starch, can cause tooth decay.

When sitting at the table we prefer calcium-rich foods (whole or skim milk), yogurt, cheese, fish with bones (sardines or salmon), watercress, broccoli, almonds, calcium-rich mineral waters and soybeans. We must also include foods rich in vitamin D, which enhance calcium absorption, among them we find the fish, like sardines, herring, tuna, salmon, mackerel and trout.

On the other hand we must not leave out those foods that provide vitamin C as they are concerned with the health of our gums, and among them are green leafy vegetables, parsley, peppers, tomatoes, among others, and citrus orange, lemon, grapefruit, strawberries, kiwi, mango, blackcurrant etc.

A secret, eating a piece of cheese at the end of each meal, clean food debris and provides minerals that reduce the risk of caries.

When a tooth is a root canal (endodontics) and this is very severe destruction of (if tooth decay is not too severe you can reconstruct the crown of the tooth with a traditional restoration (composite, amalgam, etc.) or through an embedding), the only treatment is to make a pin and a crown.
The crown is a restoration totally rigid, her name indicates that due to the high destruction of tooth anatomy is necessary to restore in full.

The crown can different materials:

    * Metal (chromium nickel or precious metal alloys (these are the best)).
* Dental Veneers (are made of metal and is visible with porcelain or tooth-colored acrylic, aesthetically not good)
* Porcelain on metal (most used crowns).
* Pure Porcelain (highly aesthetic) alumina or zirconia. They are more esthetic crowns all.

The tooth to tooth structure have not sufficient to constitute a support and retention for the crown is needed on a pin-stump. The post-core is not nothing but an element to return part of the tooth lost anchored inside the ducts of the tooth so we can retain the dental crown on the tooth. Is an intermediary between the root and crown.

Prevention and regular visits to our dentist of trust are the key to having healthy teeth, but also to have proper oral health and maintain healthy teeth should take into account:

Learn how to detect dental plaque biofilm (microorganism accumulated deposit on the teeth), by revealing substances to remove when we brush our teeth.
Use fluoride toothpaste or mouthwash that should be indicated by the specialist, by age of patient.
Visit the dentist for topical fluoride every six months.
Reduce intake of sugars, sweets and candies, especially those that stick to soft teeth, and acting on the microorganisms associated with caries. In addition to easily adhere to the chewing surfaces, and contribute to bacterial growth.
Eat foods rich in fiber, apples, carrots, milk, vegetables in general and maintain a diet rich in minerals and proteins that help keep our teeth strong and healthy.

The most common form of dental infections in a child is one in a primary tooth caries. When an infected tooth is neglected, the pain occurs, the nerve (dental pulp) becomes inflamed, die, and an abscess, usually resulting in the loss of the tooth.

The abscess can severely damage the permanent tooth thereafter. In addition to these harmful conditions, when it neglects a primary tooth caries in the child’s bite may be affected. Because tooth shape changes in the cavities, the surrounding teeth and teeth in the gum opposite change.

This change causes the bite of the child to change and hampers its ability to chew. A number of decayed primary teeth can cause severe changes in the shape of the mouth and facial appearance.

Premature loss of a primary tooth
Premature loss of a primary tooth, caused by injury or decay, the bite can affect the child. The primary teeth needed to chew food properly and act as a guide for proper placement of the permanent teeth. Each primary tooth also reserves space for the permanent tooth that will replace it. If the primary tooth is lost too early, the permanent tooth may not come out in the proper position.

Thumb Sucking and other oral habits
The thumb sucking and other oral habits such as biting the lip, tongue and cheek begin at an early age. If you allow the child to continue with them, can be very harmful to the bite and the development of the lip and face. Consult your dentist to give you tips on how to end these practices or how to reduce their effects.

The primary teeth (commonly called milk teeth) have the same objective in your child’s permanent teeth for you: chewing and appearance. There are twenty primary teeth, some of which are kept in your child’s mouth until he has about 15 years.

These teeth are smaller in size and fewer in number, permanent teeth, because your child’s jaw is smaller now than it will when I have the permanent teeth into place. To ensure normal growth and development at every age, is very important that they can chew perfectly nutritious foods, without pain and infection. The pain and infection can be caused by careless primary teeth.

Root canal (endodontic) treatment treats the inside of the tooth is removed the nerve or pulp. If decay infects the chamber where the nerve, the only way to save the tooth without removing it is doing a root canal.

Inside the tooth is a pulp consists of blood vessels, lymph vessels and nerves that nourish the tooth. The root canals containing pulp extend to the terminal from the root to the bone.

A deep cavity or an injury to the tooth surface can cause severe damage and infection in the nerves and vessels of the pulp. Endodontics or root canal treatment is to clean the pulp chamber and canals infected and then placing a filling material to seal the spaces that were previously cleaned and disinfected.

Root canal treatment (endodontics) is to remove the tissues that are housed inside the tooth (dental pulp) this space is cleaned with some instruments called files and then permanently sealed with a three-dimensional material called gutta percha.

What are the symptoms of a pulp affected?
Pain, prolonged sensitivity to food / drinks hot or cold, discoloration, inflammation. Sometimes no symptoms.

Why perform an endodontic microscope?
The difficulty of this type of treatment involves, in most cases, the need to carry them out with the help of an instrument of magnification for viewing.

The clinical microscope provides a vision improvement of up to 30 increases, allowing the processing and storage of teeth engaged, which, otherwise would be impossible. It is only used by specialists and trained.

What are the advantages of conducting an endodontic microscope?
It helps the endodontist to be able to see places where the human eye never could. The microscope is easy to see dental structures that are difficult to detect.

    * Maximum diagnostic accuracy
* Increased safety during treatment
* More predictable Treatments
* Increased conservation of tooth structure
* Better communication with patients
