Only with adhesive technique. There is no need to drill the tooth. You do not notice any discomfort and can be removed by the professional when they want without any injury. It is very simple and quick. No anesthesia is used whatsoever. Not stain or ruin the enamel.

Previously, to add a diamond in the tooth is the same thus removing the enamel also was an irreversible procedure, and that if you remove embedding the tooth with a hole would inevitably and without enamel. Currently, to implement the piercing teeth using a dental adhesive (used by dentists) to paste directly shining on the tooth, thus avoiding any abuse to the enamel.
It does not prevent proper brushing.

<!–more–>Placing a dental brilliant allows daily brushing without any restrictions. Is removed without complications.

This brilliant dental usually lasts about 6 months, thus varying the time of the eating habits of people who have it. However, if for some reason we want to take our shiny teeth before that time, we should only go to the dentist and he will do at the moment.

Painless. The dental piercing is a totally painless, so much is done without anesthesia. It only takes about 15 minutes and no risk to health.

Specialists in this new trend recommend placing the tooth piercing the upper incisors or canines, but in fact may be implanted in any tooth.

Small children sometimes have a front tooth is larger or more advanced than the other teeth, often called rabbit teeth. What is the cause of this rabbit teeth?

Such dental condition known as ‘buck teeth’. Children who have rabbit teeth are often the subject of teasing among friends.

Although the form of teeth like this look harmless, but can cause health problems because of the suitability of an unhealthy tooth.

As quoted from Atlantadentist.com, Saturday (05/06/2010) conditions such teeth can be caused by genetic factors or the effects of thumb-sucking as an infant or child that lasts a long time.

Thumb is that a lot of bad habits by children, because it is believed to give special pleasure to these children.

Most children will stop this habit between the ages of 2-4 years. But to prevent the occurrence of ‘rabbit teeth’ could not hurt to stop this habit early.

In addition, genetic factors are also thought to play a role in conditions such teeth. Although not yet known with certainty relations.

If this tooth form to prevent complete closure of the lips, it will be very embarrassing and unsightly.

If not repaired immediately can cause some problems, because the more advanced position so that the tooth susceptible to collision or the inability to eat and chew properly.

In this condition is easier if started at an early age, especially if your child is already starting to complain of health problems in his mouth. The doctor can guide the growth of teeth and maintenance will be cheaper.

If the dental condition is not corrected early, the possibility of maintenance required is to use braces and processes needed will be much slower.

Treatment with the use of braces will affect the person’s activities, such as for eating or speaking. However this treatment is still chosen by many people, because it can restore and repair the tooth to the actual position in the oral cavity.

In these braces procedure using metal links placed on the teeth and connected by wires. When the cable is pulled, the strength of the cable tends to help the movement to a position of real teeth.

Know with certainty whether the child condition rabbit teeth are disturbing or could cause health problems or not. Nothing wrong to consult with your dentist so that early treatment easier.

Milk is the most important food for your baby, but when you fall asleep with a sucker in his mouth, the milk builds up and stays in the upper front teeth. The natural sugar in cow’s milk and quickly becomes acidic and starts the destruction of the teeth. Because this type of decay occurs only in the back of the upper front teeth, is not easily seen.

Pacha if feeding is used not only to feed the baby but to keep quiet or console, the only liquid that should be used is water. Any drink sweetened, carbonated water, fruit juices, milk for babies and “sugar water” can destroy the teeth.

Priate your baby begins to drink liquids from a cup and eating solid foods, you must be careful in selecting foods that provide a sensible diet and proper nutrition. Feeding habits run today, severely affect dental and general health for the rest of their lives.

Follow your dentist’s advice about the measures taken to prevent dental disease: proper diet and oral hygiene, use of fluoride and regular dental visits to stop problems at an early stage.

Guest post written by Katrina Robinson

For years, fluoride has been a regular part of preventative dental care. Water fluoridation began in the late 1940s after preliminary studies showed that there was an “optimal” fluoride level that, when included in drinking water, led to decreased cavities in kids.

In 2002, the majority (almost 90%) of people in the United States go their water from public water systems. Of this group, about 67% received fluoridated water.

Recent studies and new-found information have shown that fluoride may not be quite as safe as we’ve all grown up believing.

Did you know that fluoride is one of the most toxic substances in the world? It’s more toxic than lead and only a little less toxic than arsenic. But it’s included in virtually every type of toothpaste, and other products such as bottled water and infant formulas now contain fluoride. But is fluoride really necessary for preventative dental health?

According to Fluoride, Journal of the International Society for Fluoride Research, “No statistically significant differences were found in the decay rates of permanent teeth or the percentages of decay-free children in the fluoridated, non-fluoridated, and partially fluoridated areas.”

Additionally, Poison Control centers across the nation receive thousands of calls each year from people who have consumed an excess amount of fluoride-containing products. Fluoride poisoning is very damaging to the body and can even lead to death. Potential results from consuming an excess of fluoride include:

    * Birth defects
* Bone and uterine cancer
* Immune system suppression
* Osteoarthritis
* Skeletal fluorosis
* Gastrointestinal disorders

My advice is to stick with clean well water when you can; otherwise, invest in a water filtration system, and search out toothpastes that are fluoride-free.

The most common form of dental infections in a child is one in a primary tooth caries. When an infected tooth is neglected, the pain occurs, the nerve (dental pulp) becomes inflamed, die, and an abscess, usually resulting in the loss of the tooth.

The abscess can severely damage the permanent tooth thereafter. In addition to these harmful conditions, when it neglects a primary tooth caries in the child’s bite may be affected. Because tooth shape changes in the cavities, the surrounding teeth and teeth in the gum opposite change.

This change causes the bite of the child to change and hampers its ability to chew. A number of decayed primary teeth can cause severe changes in the shape of the mouth and facial appearance.

Premature loss of a primary tooth
Premature loss of a primary tooth, caused by injury or decay, the bite can affect the child. The primary teeth needed to chew food properly and act as a guide for proper placement of the permanent teeth. Each primary tooth also reserves space for the permanent tooth that will replace it. If the primary tooth is lost too early, the permanent tooth may not come out in the proper position.

Thumb Sucking and other oral habits
The thumb sucking and other oral habits such as biting the lip, tongue and cheek begin at an early age. If you allow the child to continue with them, can be very harmful to the bite and the development of the lip and face. Consult your dentist to give you tips on how to end these practices or how to reduce their effects.

The College of Dentists of Las Palmas (COELP) warned today that the prevention of oral cancer could prevent 4,000 cases a year in Spain, according to its president, Hector Rodriguez, to take stock of the campaign “Go to the dentist”, aimed at promoting earlier diagnosis of possible precancerous lesions in the mouth, developed between October 26 and November 6.

About 50 in Las Palmas have been reviewed for free oral health of the citizens to detect precancerous and cancerous lesions.

The campaign warns that a dentist can save your life if it detects a potential oral cancer in its early stages. Rodriguez notes that the best diagnostic procedure is the clinical examination, and argues that a biopsy is the only safe method in packages and injury of more than fifteen days duration.

The rate of oral cancer mortality has declined only in Spain in the last 30 years, according to data provided by the General Dental Council. The delay in consulting a dentist is responsible for the poor prognosis of oral cancers diagnosed in advanced stages of the disease, causing about 4,000 cases hardly solvable.

At Least Once A Year
According to Hector J. Rodriguez, president of COELP, visiting a dentist at least once a year is the best way to detect this disease in its earliest stages. Otherwise, due to lack of symptoms, oral cancer patient undiagnosed and diagnosed when the disease is widespread.

Detect an injury. In general, any sore, lump or wound in the mouth that does not cure within fifteen days or less should be consulted with a dentist or maxillo-facial surgeon. The best way to detect lesions that do not have consciousness is systematically consulted a dentist who, in addition to reviewing the teeth, systematically explores the mucous membranes of his mouth, looking for potentially malignant lesions.

The best diagnostic procedure to rule out cancer continues to feel the professional inspection and palpation, because cancerous lesions usually appear as sores, lumps and abnormal hardness tongue, lips, floor of the mouth, cheeks, or other locations of the mouth, which often are inconspicuous at first.

Impact in Canarias
In the Canary Islands, according to a 2008 publication of the prestigious scientific journal Oral Oncology, the oral or mouth cancer has an incidence of 2.5 cases / 100,000 inhabitants / year, which puts them slightly behind other communities as the Basque Country, which has one of the highest incidence rate in Spain.

If you take into account the cancer of the lip, tongue and mouth, the rate would represent 2.81 percent of all malignant tumors diagnosed in the Canarian autonomous community annually. In a breakdown by gender, men would be 4 percent this type of cancerous tumors while the woman standing at 1.13 percent.

In particular, the Population Register Canary Cancer detected an average of 153 new cases in the capital’s two islands, of which 128 occur in men and 25 women. This implies a gross rate of 15.96 cases per 100,000 men and 3.16 cases per 100,000 women. In the Canaries the probability of developing one of these cancers before age 75 is 1 in every 66 men and 1 in 454 women. The average age of onset is 61 years for men and 67 women.

Of all malignant tumors of the lip, tongue and mouth in males the most common location is the mouth, which represents 38 percent of the total, followed by the lip, with 34 percent and finally the tongue with a 27, 73 percent. Among women the most frequent oral cancer by 45 percent, followed by the tongue, with 31 per cent and finally, with 23.5 percent.

Among the recommendations made to correct this trend and preventing new cases of oral cancer, doctors Dionisio Romero Cortes and the COELP Coralia, advised to follow some simple steps like eating four or five units of fruit and vegetables a day, and that this demonstrated that this measure could prevent up to 40 percent the risk of developing certain types of oropharyngeal cancer.

Going to the dentist is one of the experiences that most people would rather avoid. Many medical professionals are aware of this situation, as Dr. Joan Blade. His experience of over 20 years in the field of implantology, endodontics and cosmetic dentistry has led him to one conclusion: we need to convey confidence to the patient’s oral health retrieval.

Are we afraid of the dentist?
According to WHO, the dental phobic affects more than 15% of the population. The data is very important, especially if we add that the other people feel some discomfort, anxiety or fear every time you have to go to the dentist.

How does a person react dental phobic?
Dental phobia is an intense fear that allows the patient to repeatedly cancel visits to the dentist, postponed – despite the worsening of the pathology involved, or even stop halfway treatments because they are not really able to handle the situation they face. The characteristic odor of our consultations, the noise of the drill, the wait stretched on the couch, anything it can cause reactions of sweating, anxiety, tremors, uncontrollable panic.

What are the implications?
The worst happens when, through an unconscious mechanism, patients fail to remove the pain threshold of pathology, either a deep cavity, the loss of the gum or bone involvement. There are people who do not dare to smile, not even open his mouth, and have serious consequences of self-esteem, which prevents them from socializing and even go to other specialists such as ENT, because the mere act of opening the mouth reminds them of situation that causes panic. Others stop eating because your oral health prevents it.

Is there a lack of confidence in the specialist?
The problem is compounded when there is a lack of understanding towards these people who are powerless. If we add that the perception of pain is subjective, they come to feel misunderstood, creating in psychological problems besides the physical. On the other hand, there are companies that franchise their business model and forget to give the customer the confidence that both values. It is important to create an environment where it is comfortable, heard and understood and if the turnover is high, does not help. In addition, specialists must understand their customers, they are health professionals and that means full transparency, in the type and intervention to make and materials used.

Implants brand?
Yes, implants, caps, veneers, bridges, markets also have their copies. Not only in China, I offer materials shot in laboratories of our country for a third of the cost of those usually used, but I offer all the guarantees. Patients should know what brand are her implants.

What is the origin of dental fear?
Usually the causes are previous traumatic experiences, especially in childhood or adolescence, but there are also cases where the patient has presented a picture of stress in one visit and that you have marked. Upon hearing some of the noises, or see the white coat, to name a few examples, remember that situation, sparking panic. However, there are patients with dental phobia have not been to a dentist before. We shall then we are dealing with cases of psychological study, including psychiatric, because there is no real cause.

The loss of teeth, is it traumatic?
The natural tooth replacement is not traumatic at all. However, do exist experiences trauma in children between 6 and 12 years, which can trigger in dental phobic. It is therefore very important that we bring our children to the dentist from childhood, they become accustomed to going to the consultation, make periodic visits. The pediatric dentist is a very important figure.

Is cosmetic dentistry is prepended to fear the dentist?
We live in a society in which the image is very important and the mouth is part of our presentation. I have had patients who have asked me just fix teeth that look and I had to convince them of the importance of addressing before other diseases. The important thing is health.

Annual Reviews
As I said, they should be since childhood. A proper brushing, control cavities, and contemplate the genetic factor may help prevent diseases such as dental cancer which, given the speed with which it develops at the time of detection, can be fatal. We, when we suspect a case, we derive the maxillofacial surgeon for a final diagnosis. It added that snuff consumption is a major cause of oral cancer.
